WELCOME TO THE PLANT ECO-PHYSIOLOGY LABORATORY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-MADISON!

Our research focuses on how plants deal with various abiotic stresses, with particular emphasis on drought stress. Our work has mostly focused on trees, but we’re open to all kinds of plants and the various ways they deal with water stress. Explore our site! Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or comments, or would like to collaborate.

Our lab group members believe in and work towards achieving an equitable world. We understand the negative impacts caused by implicit bias result in STEM fields falling short in creativity and productivity.

Our lab group actively works to improve our world through: continually educating ourselves by participating in training workshops, devoting one lab meeting per semester to reading primary literature on equity in STEM, actively working towards greater equity and inclusion within our department and university, and recruiting undergraduate and graduate students from groups historically excluded from science.
